Terms

Last updated: 29 September 2026

This is an English translation, provided so you can read what you are agreeing to. The agreement is governed by Polish law and the Polish version is the binding one. Where the two differ, the Polish text prevails.

01Who provides the service

The Alex AI app (at alexdating.ai and app.alexdating.ai) is operated by the operator of Alex AI (registration details will be completed before payments go live), referred to below as “we”. For anything at all: [email protected]. By using the app you enter into an agreement with us for the supply of a digital service on the terms below.

02What Alex AI is — and is not

Alex AI is an assistant for dating conversations: it analyses screenshots you upload, suggests replies, scores your profile and lets you practise a conversation against a sparring opponent. The replies are generated by an artificial-intelligence model.

Alex's suggestions are prompts, not an oracle. The model can be wrong, it does not know the full context of your relationship, and it guarantees no result — not a reply, not a date, not a relationship. Marketing material shows illustrative outcomes. You decide what you send, and you are responsible for every message you send to another person — including for complying with the terms of whatever dating apps you use.

Alex AI is not a psychological, therapeutic or legal advisory service.

03Your account

The app may be used only by adults. By creating an account you confirm that you are 18 or over.

The AI features require an account. One person is entitled to one free account — creating further accounts to reuse the free allowance is a circumvention of these rules (point 05). You are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for everything that happens from your account.

04Your content

The content you upload — screenshots, photos, text — stays yours. You grant us a non-exclusive licence strictly to the extent technically necessary to provide the service: to process the content, pass it to the AI model, generate a reply, and store your history (including compressed screenshot thumbnails) so it syncs between your devices. We do not use your content for advertising and we do not train our own models on it.

By uploading content you confirm that you have the right to. That applies in particular to conversations involving other people — you upload those on your own responsibility, for your own private use. Uploading content depicting minors, or unlawful content, is prohibited.

05What is not allowed

Using the app for any of the following is prohibited:

— harassing, intimidating, stalking or humiliating any person, and continuing to write to somebody against their clearly expressed wishes;
— impersonating others or misleading anyone about your identity;
— generating or processing unlawful content, including any content that sexualises minors;
— circumventing limits and safeguards: multiplying free accounts, manipulating identifiers, automating requests, bots and scraping;
— attempting to change the model's behaviour against its purpose (jailbreaking / prompt injection), and using the app as general access to AI models for purposes unrelated to what it is for;
— reselling, sharing your account with third parties, reverse engineering, and anything that disrupts the infrastructure.

The list is illustrative: any use of the app contrary to the law, to good practice, or to the purpose described in point 02 is prohibited.

06Account blocks

If you breach point 03, 04 or 05 we may suspend or block your account immediately — including as a precaution, where the circumstances justify suspecting a serious breach (for example content involving minors, harassment, or automated abuse). A block means losing access to the AI features; for serious breaches we may also terminate the agreement and delete the account.

You can appeal a block at [email protected] — we answer within 14 days. Where a block follows your breach, fees for the subscription period already started are not refundable to the extent the service has already been performed; this does not limit consumer rights that cannot be excluded.

07The free allowance and Alex Pro

Free of charge you get a conversation with Alex, subject to a message allowance that renews every 24 hours and is shown in the app. An Alex Pro subscription removes the limit and unlocks the remaining features: sparring, the profile score and quick play. Current prices (monthly and yearly) are always shown in the app before you buy.

The yearly plan has an introductory price: the first year costs less than the regular yearly price, and the regular price applies from the first renewal. Both amounts are shown in the app and on the payment page before you pay. The introductory price applies to buying the yearly plan; switching from monthly to yearly during a subscription is billed at the regular price.

Payments are handled by Stripe; we neither see nor store card details. The subscription renews automatically at the end of the billing period. You can cancel at any time in the app (“Manage subscription”) with effect at the end of the period you have paid for — you keep full access until then. Changing plan (monthly ↔ yearly) is prorated by Stripe and requires your confirmation with the amount visible.

We will give at least 14 days' notice of a price change; the new price applies from the following billing period, and you can cancel before it takes effect.

08Withdrawal

As a consumer you have the right to withdraw from the agreement within 14 days of entering into it, without giving a reason — a statement sent to [email protected] is enough.

By buying Alex Pro you consent to the service starting immediately, before the withdrawal period expires. If you withdraw within 14 days we refund the fee less a proportionate amount for the service already performed up to the moment of withdrawal.

09Complaints

Send complaints about how the app works or about billing to [email protected]. We answer within 14 days. A consumer may also use out-of-court complaint procedures — including help from a municipal or district consumer ombudsman in Poland.

10Liability

We are liable for the digital service conforming to the agreement on the terms set out in the Polish Consumer Rights Act. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability — maintenance and outages at infrastructure providers can cause interruptions, which we resolve without undue delay.

We are not liable for the consequences of decisions you make on the basis of Alex's suggestions — in particular for the course and outcome of your conversations and relationships — nor for content you upload in breach of point 04. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded as against a consumer.

11Personal data

How data is processed — including the fact that screenshots are not stored on our servers — is set out in detail in the privacy policy.

12Changes to these terms

We may change these terms for good reason: a change in the law, a change to the app's features, or security. We will give notice in the app or by e-mail at least 14 days before a change takes effect. If you do not accept it, you can terminate the agreement and delete your account within that time; changes do not apply retroactively.

13Law and disputes

The agreement is governed by Polish law. Disputes with consumers are heard by the court having jurisdiction under the general rules. If a single provision turns out to be invalid, the rest remain in force.
